Our ministry

Our purpose is to glorify God by aiding the people of Romania physically and spiritually.

We will help those in distress, demonstrating the love of Christ in practical ways and sharing the hope of the gospel with the people to whom we minister. We desire to see salvation in each person, see them grow into the image of Jesus Christ, and strengthen their relationship with God.

Why “Sufficient Bread”?

A man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord (Deut 8:3). Jesus Christ is the sufficient bread. He is the Bread of Life. Whoever comes to Him shall never hunger, and whoever believes in Him shall never thirst (John 6:35). Jesus Christ was the sufficient sacrifice for our sins—JESUS is sufficient.

Ministry Objective: The Importance of being KNOWN

We all desire to know that there is another person out there who “knows” us. Not that they know our name, but that they KNOW us! What brings us joy, what makes us sad, what we hope for in our future, who we desire to be, what we fear. A considerable part of our daily ministry is to share the loving message of the gospel and the incredible truth that they have a FATHER in heaven who knows them. They are not forgotten and abandoned; they are known and loved by Jesus Christ!

It is our heart to make these children known to YOU, our brothers and sisters. We appreciate your prayers and support as we reach out to these children, not with “stuff,” but with relationships. We pray for strength to break through the walls of hurt, pain, and lack of trust and reveal to them the freedom of being known by the loving Father who knew them in their mother’s womb.

“O LORD, you have searched me and known me! ... you knitted me together in my mother's womb.” Psalm 139:1,13

Why is it Important to Care?

Through reading scripture it is very evident that orphan care is the responsibility of every believer. Not everyone can or should adopt, but everyone can care for orphans. It is a command from our Father in heaven.

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction.” James 1:27

God’s heart towards orphans is clearly stated in the following verses:

“The helpless put their trust in you. You are the defender of orphans. ... Lord, you know the hopes of the helpless. Surely you will listen to their cries and comfort them. You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so people can no longer terrify them.” Psalm 10:14, 17-18

“Father to the fatherless, defender of widows-- this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families.” Psalm 68:5-6

We need to open our hearts to the orphans and except our responsibility. God commands us in the following verses,

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those who are perishing. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.” Proverbs 31:8-9

“…learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow's cause.” Isaiah 1:17

The way we care for the orphans is a reflection of what God has done for me and you. We were once vulnerable and helpless and God adopted us into His family. Caring for orphans takes sacrifice, just as God sacrificed His only begotten Son for us.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
